The Acta Universi hypothesis proposes a novel theoretical framework for understanding global civilizational collapse as an entropic Cascade — a multi-level, nonlinear, self-accelerating process of systemic breakdown driven by exponential growth of entropy S_Θ. The study systematizes and analyzes key tipping points — biospheric (melting ice sheets, permafrost thaw, AMOC collapse, Amazon dieback, Himalayan glacier loss, etc.) and mental (polarization, apathy, illusion of infinite progress, spiritual vacuum) — and demonstrates their deep interdependence through reinforcing feedback loops. Mental states amplify biospheric crises, while biospheric destruction intensifies mental chaos. Special attention is given to the dual role of artificial intelligence as the most powerful accelerator of these loops (through energy consumption, disinformation, techno-optimism) and the only potential tool for their mitigation (probability of conscious use — 5–20%). Mathematical modeling reveals exponential entropy growth: the probability of crossing 4–6 tipping points by 2035–2040 is 70–90%, with entropy potentially increasing 10–50 times by 2050 and population losses reaching 30–60%. The work concludes with a comparative analysis of the modern Cascade against historical collapses (Akkadian Empire, Bronze Age, Maya, Rome, Han, Ottomans, Great Depression, USSR) and emphasizes that the next 3–5 years (2026–2030) will be decisive for the fate of civilization.
