The accelerating pace of digital transformation within the airline industry necessitates a strategic reevaluation of data analytics practices, particularly the implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for enhancing operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This study delves into the strategic significance of KPIs in the realm of airline data analytics, employing a mixed-methods research design that includes literature review, expert interviews, and case studies of leading airlines. The findings underscore the transformative impact of data analytics across operational, customer, and financial dimensions, highlighting the critical role of aligning KPIs with strategic goals, fostering a data-driven organizational culture, and adapting KPI strategies in response to evolving technological and market dynamics. Furthermore, the research presents actionable recommendations for Data Analysis Directors and airline executives, advocating for continuous adaptation and strategic refinement of data analytics practices. This study contributes to both theoretical and practical understandings of strategic data analytics in the airline industry, offering a comprehensive guide for leveraging KPIs to achieve competitive advantage and operational excellence. Future research avenues are suggested, including the exploration of emerging data technologies and the ethical use of data, to further enhance the strategic application of KPIs in the airline industry.
