В статье рассматриваются проблемы реализации в СМИ «нарратива о катастрофе» в рамках теорий социального конструирования рисков и бедствий. Две основные эмоции в предложенной CDA-модели – это «Страх» и «Надежда», значение которых колеблется обратно пропорционально развитию «повествования о катастрофе», в качестве которого выступает эпидемический дискурс пандемии Эболы. CDA-модель раскрывается с помощью ГИС-технологий, демонстрирующих глобальный циклический характер информационной эпидемии.
